If you are in debt, do not fret because there are debt solutions available out there that will work for you.  You have probably been contacted via email or phone call by someone who tried to offer to consolidate your debt, and even went so far as to tell you to not pay any of your bills.  Some of these services say, do not pay for any of your bills, we will start to negotiate for you, and some of them just work with you to create a plan to see if it works.

Not all debt solution consolidation services are created equal.  What we recommend is, check your Better Business Bureau for the debt solutions company if somebody calls you.  If they are not registered with the Better Business Bureau, there are hundreds, if not thousands of these companies out there, so you can move on to another company.

The other thing is within the company, there are a lot of counselors – and not all counselors are created equally.  Similar to conducting a job interview, interview the job counselor that you are going to be working with first.

The counselors are going to be working within a system or their company, but again, some people are more helpful than others.  Thus, when you are creating a debt solution and you want to employ the services of a consolidation company, shop around first.  Do not stop at deciding on which service to use. Look around to find the most suitable counselor to work with.  Make sure that the person you choose is going to give you the best service and the appropriate amount of coaching, and that he or she will ensure you understand all the implications of doing consolidation services as a debt solution before you begin.
